Sounds like The Sleepy Jackson (duh), Human Highway, Phoenix
I remember seeing these guys on the front of the iLike homepage and thinking, "Whoa, I want to dress like that, and their makeup isn't completely homosexual either." So of course I listened to them but I was shocked at what I heard. I scrambled to my music library and sought out The Sleepy Jackson to confirm what my heart already knew. Yes, this was the same singer, but with an upbeat, dance sound. However, I must admit that while I'm not a big fan of his voice, I am overjoyed by making connections, and the other singer and the guitar and synth really compliment him well. I can even imagine their hypothetical empire of the sun; I love exploring the future. While the majority of these tracks are upbeat dance tunes, I may enjoy the dissimilar tracks, such as Country and Swordfish Hotkiss Night, even more. I just love it when musical groups utilize the vocals as another instrument rather than focusing on driving home a message. And I just stumbled upon their video for Standing on the Shore which, I must say, is superbly magical to say the least. In fact, I recommend watching the rest of their music videos as well.
